We have an active research environment which enables us to offer a range of exciting courses taught by experts who are leaders in their fields. You’ll be directly engaged in research through substantial individual and team-based project work – giving you access to our specialist facilities.
Our Industrial Advisory Committee helps ensure our courses are up-to-date with the modern practices and techniques that will enable you to succeed in industry upon graduation. Many of our courses are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council.
Our core electronic and electrical engineering degrees share a common first two years. This means you have the freedom to switch courses up until the end of your second year. You also have the option of spending the third year of your MEng at one of our specially selected partner universities overseas, or extending your studies by taking an industrial placement year option.
Laboratory classes and project work allow you to gain hands-on experience, investigating and applying material from your lectures and tutorials to real-life work situations.
