The Pollard Institute has a history of pre-eminence in high frequency electronics, incorporating fundamental understanding, design, modelling, and fabrication of devices, components, and subsystems from 1 GHz through to terahertz (THz) frequencies.
Over the last decade, the scope of the Institute has expanded significantly to include quantum electronic devices and semiconductor nanotechnology, and the emerging field of bio-nanoelectronics.
Research areas include:
- Terahertz electronics and photonics
- Quantum electronics and communications
- Microwave and millimetre-wave engineering.
