Low carbon energy

Energy students

The Low Carbon Energy group brings together more than thirty academic members of the School of Chemical and Process Engineering working across many disciplines to reduce the energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions of industrial, domestic, agricultural, surface and air transport and commercial activities.

We take both experimental and modelling approaches to solving these challenges and pool together expertise relevant to science and engineering in combustion, particles and particle flow behaviour, catalysis, photocatalysis, renewable energy systems, reactor and process design, transport and heat transfer phenomena across scales, novel materials, complex systems and policy.
