Scholarships

We offer a number of scholarship opportunities to support and reward students from around the world. If you are a UK student you may be able to receive government support to help towards your tuition fees and living costs.

2018-19 Scholarships

Summary

This bursary is for you if you’re a former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the Faculty of Engineering. Courses that are run in conjunction with other universities are excluded from the Bursary.

Value - what money is on offer

The University will pay 10% of the self-funded portion of your fees for each year of the course. If no fees are paid then no bursary is awarded.

Who is eligible

This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you’re a former student of the University of Leeds.

How to apply

If you think you’re eligible, you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for.

Deadline

No deadline - automatic.

You must be a former University of Leeds student.

This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK upper second class degree or above.

Value - what money is on offer

£1,000

Who is eligible

You’re eligible if you’re a UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Chemical and Process Engineering (excluding MSc Engineering Management online).

Deadline

No deadline - automatic.

Conditions

You must be self-funding, full or part time, classified as UK/EU for tuition fee purposes and not in receipt of any other Faculty of Engineering award.

How are the scholarships awarded?

Automatic based on undergraduate degree result (2:1 or equivalent).

Summary

A Joint Graduate Loan-Scholarship Programme for Colombian students studying at the University of Leeds.

Value - what money is on offer

20% tuition fee scholarship to all eligible students.

Who is eligible

Students in Colombia interested in this Joint Graduate Loan-Scholarship Programme. You must hold an academic offer as a full-time taught postgraduate with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Leeds and be selected as beneficiaries of the Loan-Scholarship Programme of COLFUTURO.

Summary

The University of Leeds has a formal cooperation agreement with the Mexican Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACyT) which provides reduced tuition fees to CONACyT sponsored students.

The following energy related MSc courses will receive an additional fee reduction.
