I am the Operations Director of Regener8 (the UK Regenerative Devices Community) and a member of the Medical Technologies IKC team. Regener8 works at the interface of industry, academia and clinical application and seeks to develop translational awareness amongst academic researchers and to connect and influence the UK national regenerative medicine landscape. We work with over 330 academic members and over 260 industry partners. I am a biomedical scientist with over 28 years’ experience leading research and development projects in the medical technology, medical device and pharmaceutical industries and have been involved in tissue engineering/regenerative medicine since 1996. I hold an MBA from Warwick Business School and am the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Neotherix Ltd, a medical technology/regenerative devices company spun-out from Smith & Nephew in 2007. I was also awarded a 2 year Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Medical Technology Innovation and Translation in 2016.
