Dan has over twenty years experience in product design practice and design management with a proven track record of delivering successful products from the initial flash of creativity through to commercial product realisation.
Dan has experience both as an in-house designer and as design consultant. His work as Design Manager for a UK based company involved the design of products for manufacture in the UK, and China with sales through the retail sector in Europe and the USA. Responsibilities included delivering a continuous supply of new products for the retail sector, brand, graphic and supporting international exhibitions.
Dan has also worked as design advisor to industry through business support networks in the UK such as Business Link and the Design Council.
Dan’s research interests are in enhancing creativity and innovation in designers and non-designers.
